Community is such a big part of our work. We can't reconcile our problems as a society if we block ourselves off to the rest of the world.

Peg + Chuck serve on the Board of Directors of Timber Creek Hearth House; a spiritual retreat center, Drexel, Missouri, and on the Board of Directors, faculty of the Grünewald Guild; a retreat center dedicated to the mission of art and faith, Leavenworth, Washington. They created and facilitate Painting as Prayer, Beyond the Word and Exploring the Landscape of Creative Faith classes and facilitate a class from the book: The Artist's Way. Their art has been used at the Taizé services and Sunday worship at St. Luke's United Methodist Church and Trinity UMC, Orlando; The Wellspring Chapel Service at First United Methodist, Winter Park, and Holy Trinity, ELCA, Port Charlotte, Florida; The United Methodist Florida Annual Conference, Lakeland and Daytona Beach, Florida; "SoulFeast" gathering for The Upper Room, Nashville, TN, Springfield Road UMC, Belfast, Northern Ireland. At Forthspring Inter-Community Group, located on a peace line in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Chuck and Peg listened to the stories of women on both sides of the conflict, and then translated their stories into art. This was a part of the community effort to bring about healing and reconciliation and break the chain of centuries of violence. Telling their stories and seeing them visually, empowered these women to persevere in their common goal for a peaceful community. Chuck and Peg also created art workshops, enabling adults and children to create art together in community.

Chuck's passion for the spiritual in art finds inspiration in the transcending connection of art, prayer and faith regardless of a person's cultural background or religious tradition. Recent time spent living on the peace line in Belfast, Northern Ireland confirmed for Chuck the healing power of art in forgiveness and reconciliation. Chuck, a painter, designer and workshop facilitator, received his BFA from Miami University. Chuck worked as an Associate Creative Director for the Walt Disney Company, Orlando. Currently he works towards a Master's in Art & Reconciliation and as the Artist-In-Residence at Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Chuck serves on the Board of Advisors for the Design Department at the University of Missouri-KC, a member of CIVA International and Imago Dei.

Peg's passion for art and faith includes designing worship spaces and experiential environments for others to engage the Holy. By creating cloths and banners for worship, she presents ancient symbols of the Christian church so that they come alive to a new generation of worshippers. Currently the Director of Retail Product Development for Hallmark Cards, Peg teaches workshops on Calligraphy, design and creativity.
